Invisalign

How Invisalign works for Teens and Adults.

Invisalign is a modern technique which helps individuals to have straight teeth using cutting edge technology. Invisalign is an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatments. In the past, ugly wires and brackets were used to straighten teeth. Painful movements and soreness were an unpleasant side affect for straight teeth. However, with the available technologies in the 21st century that is history. You are going WIRELESS. YES, NO METAL will be hanging from your teeth. No more embarrassing trapped food in your wires. No more bruised lips. No more food restrictions. With Invisalign, you are able to take your “Aligners” out at any time you want and put them right back in. Aligners are trays made out of comfortable smooth plastic that you wear over your teeth. These aligners are practically invisible. Each set of aligners will gradually move the designated teeth in an incremental calculated position. The exciting part of this process is that since the aligners are clear and hardly noticeable, you can practically wear them everywhere.

At the next step, Dr. Baseri will take pictures, necessary x-rays and impressions of your teeth. Invisalign uses this information to create a digital 3-D image of your teeth. Dr. Baseri will write out detailed instructions for Invisalign to have your smile designed as discussed during your consultation. This is a very important step in aligning your teeth. Mapping the teeth in the right position is a very critical step. The beauty of Invisalign is that you can see how your smile will look like before you wear your first aligners. How is that possible? Well, through virtual representation, you smile is mapped out and you and Dr. Baseri can both see the beginning and the end results in 3-D. You can see the exact number of aligners and how many weeks it will take to complete your Invisalign treatment.

Receive your Custom Aligners based on your Personalized Treatment Plan.

After your approval of the 3-D virtual projection of your smile, Invisalign will fabricate a series of clear aligners that are custom to you. These aligners are clear, manufactured out of BPA free plastic and won’t irritate your gums and cheeks. They are very smooth in the mouth. Each set of aligners are to be worn for 2 weeks and 20-22 hours per day to achieve maximum results. The only times that you need to take them out are when you are eating, flossing and brushing your teeth. In just a few weeks you will notice that your teeth are moving gradually and shifting into the right position. Since these aligners are clear, they are very hard to notice once you are wearing them.
